Since childhood, I have felt the need to create. I drew, painted, sang and invented plays. Growing up in a working-class neighbourhood, I never imagined I could devote my life to something that brought me so much joy.
Photography fascinated me before I even owned a camera. I learned from books and bought my first camera with my first pay cheque from the Madrid Metro. Taking photographs became a way of drawing closer to what moved me.
The search for a livelihood led me into advertising. After a long journey, having reached major international agencies, I realised I no longer felt I belonged. I had experienced an awakening that was changing my relationship with life.
I returned to art with a deep reverence for the sacred and experiences I felt compelled to express. Today, I give them form through photography, mosaics, installation and artificial intelligence.
Art is my language. I returned to it because I felt I had something to say.
